Seriously. Free Pizza to the first person who comes up with a method to get the Android Market showing a majority of the apps out there, instead of the very small selection I'm showing now.
If I can't order a pizza to you, I'll figure out something else.
Eric, The only effective way I have managed it is to use another Android device to search the Play store and then repack the downloaded APK using ES File Explorer, upload to my Box account, then use ES File Explorer in ACL to download and install it. Not perfect, not pretty, lots of faffing around, but it works. The issue is when the Play store sends the 'current' version and not one for the 2.3.6 ACL uses.
someone will find a way :-) I've got a TouchPad that dual boots CM7 still, and it has a rather full market, whereas here, Android Market is only showing 10-30 apps per category.. :-)
Would having a backup from Android on a TP Go help for the proper BUILD.PROP?
i'm thinking perhaps the build.prop from a CM7 touchpad that has reasonably full market access might be more helpful .. i don't know what we can change in build.prop without turning the device into a black brick ,though.
I should soon (next week or the week after) have some TP Go's with Android pre-installed from TaoBao. I'm on leave from work for 2 weeks now, but when I'm back they should be waiting for me ;)
